This research examines the silences operating in current feminist poststructuralist theory that restrains health practices in the area of young women鈥檚 wellbeing and intimate heterosexual relationships.聽 Within this research I facilitated positive visibility, humour and silenced heterosexual risk discourses in order to increase the participant鈥檚 access to resistant subjective desires. 聽This research took 聽a 鈥榗ritical realist鈥 theoretical position that rejected relativist poststructuralist ideas of knowledge being solely constituted 聽through language and聽 explored how the force of the corporeal body, language and material resources intersected to co-constitute resistant subject desires that enhanced participants wellbeing.聽 聽
