Thesis Title
Estimating the contribution of different sources to the burden of human campylobacteriosis and salmonellosis
Read article at Massey Research Online:
Mrs M眉llner focussed on identifying sources of campylobacteriosis and salmonellosis in New Zealand using novel genotyping and modelling approaches. This study revealed that the majority of human campylobacteriosis cases were due to poultry with widely varying contributions by individual poultry suppliers. Findings indicated differences in transmission pathways in rural and urban communities. These results have supported the implementation of national control strategies.
