My research and teaching networks span across Aotearoa-New Zealand and South, Central, and North America. I am passionate about the environment, and social-ecological justice and transformations. I try my best to actively challenge academia and the privileging of scientific knowledge above others, and embrace a genuine recognition of all forms of knowledge and knowing. I am theoretically driven, and practically grounded. So, I am particularly interested in developing innovative ways to reduce environmental policy implementation gaps through transformative, equitable, and inclusive pathways towards sustainability based on collaborations and participation.

I am an early-career academic with 11 years of research and teaching experience in environmental planning, climate change, integrated coastal zone management, community resilience, biodiversity conservation, and inter & trans-disciplinary approaches to knowledge production processes in the context of global environmental change.
