Teaching and Supervision
Graduate Supervision Statement
I completed my PhD relatively recently (2018) and work closely with veterinary pathology postgraduate students, so feel that I have a good appreciation of the challenges and rewards of graduate study. I pride myself on being approachable, and understand how important it is to achieve a balance between feeling supported, and having opportunities to develop your own research skills and identity.
My current areas of research include ocular diseases in dogs (specifically a retinopathy in Greyhounds and working farm dogs) and veterinary toxicology (including further investigations into a toxic myopathy in hunting dogs). In addition to my anatomic pathology training, I am developing my skills in electron microscopy and mass spectometry and hope to use these modalities in future research.
Dr Hayley Hunt is available for Masters and Doctorial supervision.
