Roles and Responsibilities

Director of Exercise Physiology and Metabolism Lab, Wellington Campus

Professor David Rowlands is the Director of Exercise Physiology and Metabolism Lab, and Microvascular and Metabolic Research Group. He conducts recognised leading research in human health and performance nutrition.

His students are research-informed and engaged in current concepts, independent and investigative thinking.

While consolidating his skill base in exercise metabolism, he looks to future trends and patterns for ongoing research alignment and niche work (in fields, such as, food science, genomics, proteomics, progressive statistics).

He fosters strong and active collaborations with public organisations and companies both locally and internationally to produce innovative outputs for science advancement, profitability and health knowledge.
