Julia Becker is an Associate Professor at the Joint Centre for Disaster Research in the School of Psychology at 淘料视频.  She undertakes social science research on a range natural hazard and environmental issues.  Her areas of expertise include perceptions, preparedness, community resilience, emergency management and warnings.  She has worked extensively in New Zealand on recent events (e.g. Canterbury and Kaik艒ura earthquakes) and internationally (e.g. U.S.A, Australia, Japan).
